This was my 2nd visit to the event. A couple of comments;
1. I think you have made a mistake by timing this event to coincide with the Perfect Game event in Atlanta. For one, I think you dilute the field of teams because they have
to choose between the two, and secondly because there were absolutely NO SCOUTS at the games this years. Last year there were a number of major colleges and other college
programs around. I spoke with coaches who said they could not do both Atlanta and Memphis the same week. For 18U kids looking for exposure, your tournament is not going to be the place if you leave the date the same next year.I know a number of kids who were seniors and undecided who missed out on being seen by being here vs Atlanta. I think you have an opportunity with a smaller venue to have guys get seen and talked to here, if the coaches come.I have spoken to a number of college programs who loved coming to this event as a major recruiting opportunity.

Secondly, I stayed for the championship game, and if this is how out of hand things are allowed to get, then I don't think many teams will want to stay and play. Not only did the coaches get out of hand, the umpires allowed things to escalate until the game was not even relevant. I have been around baseball for over 45 years, and I have never seen a game become such a circus. Not only did the actions get out of hand, the language allowed by the coaches and UMPIRES was inexcusable. It appeared that NO ONE was in charge and stopped the action and said enough is enough.

I saw the same thing happen in the game before the championship, when a coach was allowed to charge an umpire on several occasions before he was removed from the field. The language used was heard all the way up to the press box area where I was seated.

If this is how young men are to play in quality championship style tournament, then I don't think many class players want to be a part of it.

You have a good thing going, but I think you took some big steps backwards this year. Some major steps are going to have to be taken to put these games back on par with where they were viewed before.
I hope that you guys have a chance to regain what your history has been next year.

GOOD LUCK IN YOUR EFFORTS TO REVAMP THIS TOURNAMENT.

We've been putting on this tournament for over 20 years on the same date. No plans to change except to expand the tournament.

There were a ton of scouts at the tournament and college coaches. If there were none at your game, I think that's more a reflection on your team, not the tournament.

The tournament director did in fact come down to the field an escort one coach off the premises in an attempt to restore order. There was no reason sufficient to stop the game.

My team always comes to this tournament and will continue to do so. Every year we have come, someone has gotten a scholarship BECAUSE they were seen at the All-American Classic.I don't send my teams to Perfect Game because there are 100-120 teams, playing one game a day and spread out all over the Atlanta area.Please don't change anything!
